There's not much activity at Zama these days. First opened in 1966, the facility is largely abandoned, the result of corporate cutbacks. The sprawling plant site is more like a ghost town than a bustling auto factory. If you're lucky, you might glimpse a small cadre of craftsmen who build limited-edition models for Autech, the Nissan unit that produces special, high-performance products such as the Nismo Z.
